Russian design engineers demonstrated compliance with the world standards at the 47th Session of CIGRE
Experts from Prosoft-Systems Ltd took part in the 47th Session of CIGRE, a major international event held from August 27 to August 31 in Paris. The event brought together more than 3,500 representatives and delegates from world’s top utility and energy companies, materials and electrical equipment manufacturers. The agenda addressed new technologies aimed at improved efficiency of electric power systems. At the joint exhibition organized by the Russian National Committee (RNC CIGRE), Prosoft-Systems presented its solutions for digitalization of power distribution networks, emergency control systems and modern digital substations.
The Palais des congrès de Paris opened its doors to innovative products and projects of more than 300 manufacturers of electrical equipment and solutions for smart grids, digital substations, power transmission and distribution networks. The lineup of participants included providers of engineering services. In 2018, more than 150 Russian delegates attended the Session. The first Digital Exhibit presented by the Russian National Committee of CIGRE showcased products and solutions with export potential.
Prosoft-Systems Ltd. introduced its fault location, isolation and service restoration system (FLISR) incorporated into the Smart Grid System, upgraded range of controllers for automation of power systems, equipment for relay protection, emergency control and power line communication. The equipment and systems are used by PJSC Rosseti and PJSC FGC UES, at power generation facilities, by oil, gas and other industrial companies. The representatives of Prosoft-Systems reported that foreign delegations took a keen interest in the company’s equipment. The company specialists say that the competitive analysis of the equipment exhibited at CIGRE allows the conclusion that the devices and integrated systems made by Prosoft-Systems can successfully compete with similar products from foreign manufacturers.
- The products offered by our company for automation of power facilities are in line with the current trends, says Ilyas Khusyainov, a leading engineer of the power systems automation solutions department. For instance, we are designing and supplying telemetry devices supporting Sampled Values Protocol 9-2 (compliant with IEC 61850) as well as ARIS EM digital electric energy meters, which were designed back in 2012 and are currently used in the electric power industry. Another example is the automated power restoration system, which can automatically detect an outage, locate the faulted area, isolate the fault and restore the service to consumers. In future, according to the expert community, capabilities of smart grids are going to extend.
